Let Go of Control

What would happen if you just let go of control right here, right now?
Our control isn't as real as we experience it to be.
When we look at our experience through mindfulness meditation, we can see some interesting deceptions that are happening at a subtle level.
Who is this self that has control?
What exactly is doing the controlling?
What is control made of?
Where is control located?
We usually experience ourselves as a separate individual who has a will, but this is an illusion.
When we shed layers of the ego or separate self, we realize that life is in constant flow.
Thoughts come and go.
Emotions come and go.
Sensations come and go.
All experiences come and go in a flowing, moving fashion.
Usually we push away this flow unconsciously.
Our thoughts, mind, body tension, and resistance all work to push this into the unconscious.
We then experience life as rigid and fixed, missing out on the moment-to-moment impermanence and movement.
We tend to live life on autopilot, led by top-down patterns of thought and judgment, rarely noticing the bottom-up signals such as our bodily sensations, emotions, and sensory experiences that shape our reality.
Our ego is afraid of this flow, change, and movement. It works hard to keep it unconscious.
When we let go of control, thoughts, and judgments, and just move directly into our body sensations and Pure Awareness, we begin to experience life from a new vantage point.
The Self begins to emerge, and we feel the interconnected nature of existence.
We feel ourselves to exist far beyond our own personal individuality, yet we remain very intimate and even more connected to our personal self.
Our wounding, repressed emotions, and unmet needs, which deeply shape our worldview and life experience, remain stuck in the unconscious when we remain in "control" mode.
When we let go of control and remain in the Self or Pure Awareness, we are able to heal the past, rewire our being, and let go of deceptions and delusions we've clung onto for safety without knowing it.
Life gets juicy, and the mundane becomes magical.
Our early attachment wounds finally stop playing themselves out, and we're able to be fully authentic.
Our perception of life gets significantly clearer because we aren't acting out of survival, attachment, outdated beliefs, and unprocessed emotion.
As I type this, the words just flow out. They move through me as if they were always meant to.
There's not a separate individual who is willing this into creation.
There's an intelligent flow to life that moves through the illusion of a separate individual and brings these words to you.
Awareness guides the flow of energy, which guides creation itself.

Lucas
